Presidential Preference Primary

The 2008 Presidential Preference Primary Guidebook spells out the crucial deadlines and steps that presidential campaigns and Rhode Islanders who want to be delegates at one of the national political conventions had to take leading up to the March 4 primary.

“Among my duties, there is no more important undertaking than assuring our elections are accessible to those who vote and those who wish to serve,” said Secretary of State Mollis. “Government belongs to the people. The more they know, the better they will govern.”

The guidebook and related forms are available only in electronic format. This strategy not only will save Rhode Islanders the cost of printing thousands of copies of the booklet, it enabled campaigns, citizens and candidates to include links to the documents in email or on their own websites for voters and supporters to access. Of course, we also provided hardcopies of the booklet and forms upon request.
