FEDERAL CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS FOR
U.S. SENATORS, U.S. REPRESENTATIVES AND FEDERAL POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEES

The Office of the Secretary of State is a participant in the Federal Election Commission’s "State Filing Waiver Program". This program waives the filing requirment that campaign finance reports filed with the FEC also be filed with the Office of the Secretary of State. In order to participate, the Office of the Secretary of State provides computers in the Elections Division which allow the public electronic access to, and duplication of, reports and statements that are filed with the FEC. This waiver affects reports filed by candidates for the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representative as well as federal political action committees. Federal campaign finance reports filed by Presidential candidates can also be obtained.

STATE AND LOCAL CANDIDATES AND POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEES

Pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws, Title 17, Chapter 25, the Rhode Island State Board of Elections is authorized to implement the provisions of the Rhode Island Campaign Contributions and Expenditures Reporting Act.
