Central Falls, Jamestown and Woonsocket have regularly scheduled off-year elections for a variety of municipal offices including mayor, council and school committee. We are taking a page out of the late-night-marketing playbook by targeting small business owners on cable television. Our 30-minute TV spot promoting the economic development tools offered by government agencies will air dozens of times before the end of the year.
The format will be familiar to anyone who has ever seen these shows on TV. There are man-on-the-street interviews and product endorsements. We may be breaking new ground for a government agency, but this is a proven way to get information into the hands of the public.
Our message to small business owners is simple. We are committed to helping businesses grow. Let us help you talk face-to-face with the officials who regulate you, provide financing and offer advice.
